Shortest Bull Ever Recorded
Archie, a miniature Dexter bull from Northern Ireland, was measured on 22 November 2011 and officially recognised by the World Records Authority as the shortest bull ever recorded, standing just 76.2 cm (30 inches) from hoof to withers. The Dexter is already the smallest of all European cattle breeds, but Archie’s extraordinary stature set an entirely new benchmark. A remarkable testament to biological distinctiveness within cattle, Archie and his dedication to the farm stand as proof that the most extraordinary things often come in the smallest packages.
