The World Records Authority (WRA) is pleased to officially certify that Zara Rahim (11) and Mekaal Rahim (10) are the Youngest Siblings & Individuals to Complete a Full Marathon on All 7 Continents. This extraordinary feat was completed on March 16th in Canberra, Australia.

At just 11 years old (Zara) and 10 years old (Mekaal), they shattered the previous record of 12 years old. Their journey across 7 continents required incredible resilience, moving from the frozen landscapes of Antarctica to urban marathons. The Canadian-born siblings, currently residing in Qatar, were inspired by the resilience of refugee children and dedicated their running journey to this cause.

“Their dedication through 9 months and nearly 150,000 nautical miles of travel exemplifies global citizenship and endurance.” — World Records Authority

WRA validates this achievement as a testament to human potential and determination. The World Records Authority proudly certifies Zara and Mekaal Rahim’s extraordinary journey as an official world record.
