This breathtaking aerial view of the Itaipu Dam, situated on the border of Brazil and Paraguay, captures the essence of human ingenuity. Operational since 1984 and known by its Guaraní name meaning ‘The Sounding Stone’, this power complex boasts a total installed capacity of 14,000 MW. In 2016, it achieved an annual production highlight of over 103 million MWh, showcasing its unwavering commitment to clean energy production and setting a global benchmark.
