A legacy forged on the water. The World Records Authority officially recognises Wyatt Werneth for setting the record for the Longest Prone Paddleboard Distance. Werneth, Chief of Brevard County Ocean Rescue and a Coast Guard Reserve, covered 345 miles between Miami Beach and Jacksonville Beach over a challenging nine-day journey, battling strong winds and rough surf.

He also set a new standard for distance covered on a paddleboard in a 24-hour period, completing an extraordinary 103 miles on his first day. This achievement stands as a powerful testament to endurance, skill, and an unwavering commitment to waterman principles and water safety awareness.

“A legacy forged on the water.” — World Records Authority

WRA is proud to honour Wyatt Werneth for this monumental achievement and for raising awareness of water safety through his extraordinary paddleboard journey along the Florida coast.
